More rain, wind and snow on the way

> From the WeatherWatch archives

The next few days will be mostly settled over New Zealand but more rough weather is on the way.

Yet another low is expected to form around northern New Zealand towards the end of the week with MetService raising some concern over the system.

While confidence remains “low” that warnings will be issued, MetService suggests the entire eastern coastline of the North Island is at risk of heavy rain warnings on Friday or Saturday.

There’s a low risk of snow warnings being issued for Southland on Wednesday as a brief burst of cold air moves in.
