A deepening low in the Tasman Sea will push against a blocking high to our east for the start of the new working week and that means a period of wind and rain for much of New Zealand.
Heaviest rain will be on the West Coast once again, with heavy falls also across the North Island as the front crosses there late Tuesday and early Wednesday (we’ll have more details about this on Monday).
The main rain band will affect the West Coast across Tuesday, then the North Island late Tues/early Weds.
A cooler air flow comes in behind it.
