A weakening low pressure system lies to the east of the South Island today. Showers about the west of the North Island ease this morning potentially clearing for some. The warmest temperatures today will be about the east coast of the North Island and Auckland / Northland.

evening there is the low risk of a shower, mainly in the ranges.

Western North Island
The odd shower, mainly clearing by midday however the odd one could remain.
Sunny spells and westerly breezes.
Sunny spells and some cloud, WNW breezes tend more northerly in the
afternoon. Risk of an early shower.

Mostly sunny, light
winds and afternoon northerlies. Some high cloud develops after midday.

Sunny with some cloud, light northerlies. Late afternoon and evening a few
isolated showers are possible, mainly inland.
Sunny spells with southerlies tending a litte more southeast in the
afternoon, chance of an afternoon and evening isolated shower mainly

Cloudy periods with westerly breezes, chance of a shower now and then
otherwise mainly dry. South of Haast conditions remaining dry for much of the
day.

Cloudy spells and a few sunny areas, southerly breezes. Low risk of a
shower or two this morning.
Sunny spells with light winds tending southwest in the afternoon, low risk
of a late afternoon shower.
Cloudy spells with light south to southeasterly breezes, cloud breaks up
later in the evening.
