Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Mostly cloudy, chance of a shower mainly this afternoon. North to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 21-23

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Areas of cloud and occasional sun with west to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 18-20

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds this morning, afternoon northwesterlies.
Highs: 23-24

Wellington

Cloudy areas with brisk to strong north to northwesterly winds.
High: 18

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny with some high cloud, a few spots of rain possible later in the evening / overnight. Breezy north to northwesterly winds develop.
Highs: 19-23

Canterbury

Thickening high cloud, northwesterly winds becoming gusty in the afternoon. Chance of a spot of rain late afternoon / evening.
High: 23

West Coast

Rain with heavy falls spreading north along the coast during today, clearing later this evening as gusty northerlies change southwest.
Highs: 17-18

Southland & Otago

Thick high cloud, a few spots of rain move through Southland then onto Otago this afternoon before clearing by evening. Rain about western parts of Central Otago may be persistent for a time before clearing away. Winds from the north then tending northwest once rain clears.
Highs: 18-20
