Most of New Zealand is fairly settled tonight due to a high pressure system centred northeast of the country. Not all regions will have clear skies though, a front moves onto the lower South Island tomorrow morning towards dawn bringing rain.

Clear spells with light winds.

Clear spells and some cloud, cloud increases overnight. Light southwesterlies ease this evening.

Mainly clear skies with some cloud developing overnight, light northerlies
tend southwest overnight.

Waikato & Central North Island
Clear spells and increasing cloud, drizzle possible towards dawn tomorow.
Westerly quarter winds.

Eastern North Island
Clear skies with northeasterlies near the coast easing this evening. West
to northwest winds about the Wairarapa.
Tonight’s Lows: 8-10
Western North Island
A few clouds starting to increase later this evening, west to northwesterly
winds. A chance of drizzle towards dawn tomorrow.

Wellington
Periods of cloud with breezy northerlies, easing a little overnight.
Clear skies with light winds.

Marlborough
Clear skies with light winds.
Tonight’s Low: 7
Canterbury
Mainly clear skies, easterlies near the coast ease this evening. Some high
cloud possible overnight.

West Coast
Mainly clear skies with some cloud developing overnight, light winds. Cloud
about South Westland with drizzle about Fiordland turning to rain
overnight.

Coastal Otago
Mainly clear skies this evening with easing easterly winds, high cloud
develops overnight.

Central Otago
Some high cloud developing overnight with northwesterly winds.

Southland
Increasing high cloud with breezy northwesterlies, winds change southwest
around dawn with rain.
