Showers clearing away this evening, mainly clear skies overnight with strong southwesterlies easing.

Mainly clear skies, strong southwesterlies ease overnight with temperatures becoming a bit cold.

Bay Of Plenty

Mainly clear skies this evening and overnight, strong southwesterlies
ease.
Tonight’s Low: 2-3

Waikato & Central North Island

Mainly clear skies or becoming clear this evening, strong cold
southwesterlies ease overnight. About southern parts of the Central North Island
showers and a few snow flurries to 400m not clearing till this evening.

Eastern North Island

Occasional showers with fresh cold southwesterlies, some hail possible at
times and a few snow flurries in the ranges to 400m then easing overnight
clearing around dawn tomorrow. Showers clearing away earlier overnight about the
Wairarapa.

Taranaki

Mainly clear skies with brisk cool southerlies easing overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 2-4

Western North Island

Any remaining showers clear this evening with southerlies easing, clear
skies overnight.

Wellington

Strong southerlies ease, remaining showers with a risk of hail and snow
flurries in the hills to 300m clearing this evening. Cloud breaking away
overnight with southerlies dying out.

Clear skies with southwesterlies dying away later this evening.

Marlborough

Mainly clear skies north of the Wairau Valley with southwesterlies easing
away overnight, showers about southern Marlborough with snow flurries to 400m
clearing this evening.

Canterbury

Remaining showers mainly on Banks Peninsula and about parts of North
Canterbury clearing this evening. Skies becoming mainly clear overnight for all
with southwesterlies dying away.

Coastal Otago

Cloudy spells breaking away this evening then clear skies overnight, brisk
southwesterlies gradually ease.

Clear skies with southerlies easing this evening, remaining cloud in the
east and south clears this evening.

Southland

Areas of cloud break away this evening, southwesterlies tend
westerly.
