An anticyclones centre that was centred over New Zealand around midday today shifts to lie offshore from the North Islands east coast overnight. This allows a northerly airflow to pick up a little during the night, most regions are dry although the odd light shower is possible about Northland, Taranaki later in the night and the West Coast of the South Island.
