Isolated showers, some heavy with thunderstorms over the upper North Island clearing this evening. Mainly settled elsewhere although a front approcahes the far south of the country overnight bringing rain.

Auckland & Northland
Some cloud, isolated showers some possible heavy gradually clearing this evening. Sea breezes ease. Mainly clear skies overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 13-15

Bay Of Plenty, Waikato & Central North Island

Periods of cloud, isolated showers some heavy with thunderstorms gradually clearing this evening. Westerlies ease this evening for most although winds will be northerly about the Bay Of Plenty, easing there this evening also. There may be a fog patch or two overnight about inland areas.
Tonight’s Lows: 9-14

Eastern North Island

Clear with some high cloud, isolated showers some heavy with thunderstorms
inland about the Hawkes Bay and Gisborne Ranges clearing this evening.
Easterlies ease.
Tonight’s Lows: 12-13

Western North Island

Areas of cloud with westerly breezes, isolated showers (some heavy) about
inland Manawatu clearing this evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 11-13

Wellington

Mainly clear skies with northerly winds.
Tonight’s Low: 14

Nelson

Clear skies with northerlies easing this evening, light southwesterlies
overnight.
Tonight’s Low: 12

Marlborough

Clear skies with northwesterlies easing this evening, light winds overnight
with some high cloud possible towards dawn.
Tonight’s Low: 9

Canterbury

Mainly clear skies with high cloud moving into South Cantebrury this
evening then further north overnight. Light winds.

West Coast

Showers about South Westland moving north overnight, light
northwesterlies.

Coastal Otago

Cloudy areas with light easterlies, winds change southwets overnight with
rain moving in towards dawn tomorrow.

Central Otago

Clear spells with light winds, scattered rain develops towards dawn
tomorrow morning with a southerly change.
Tonight’s Low: 10

Southland

Mainly clear skies this evening with some developing high cloud, westerly
winds. A southwest change after midnight brings rain.
