A low centred off the east coast of the North Island weakens tonight, so drizzle patches or rain gradually clears about Wellington and along the east coast. The odd shower spreading into western areas clears this evening. For the South Island conditions are mostly settled as a weak ridge of high pressure remains.

Auckland & Northland

Clear with some cloud, south to southwesterly winds ease this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 14-16

Central North Island, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Fairly cloudy with southerly breezes easing this evening, any showers
clearing this evening also. Cloud breaks up a little overnight. The Waikato,
especially in the north may see less cloudy skies this evening and
overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 13-17

Eastern North Island

Cloudy with patchy rain or drizzle easing overnight and clearing, cool
south to southwesterly winds ease.

Tonight’s Low: 15

Taranaki

Fairly cloudy with strong southerly winds easing this evening.

Tonight’s Low: 12

Western North Island

Cloudy with the odd shower or drizzle patch clearing around midnight,
southerlies ease.

Tonight’s Low: 13

Wellington

Cloudy with patch rain or drizzle clearing around midnight, brisk
southerlies ease overnight.

Tonightâ€™s Low: 13

Nelson

Areas of cloud with northerlies easing later this evening, light winds
overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 14-15

Marlborough

Mainly clear skies with easterlies easing later this evening, some cloud
may return about the coast later this evening.

Tonight’s Low: 12

Canterbury

Mainly clear skies although areas of cloud may return this evening,
easterlies ease with light winds overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-10

West Coast

Clear spells and areas of cloud, cloud thickens overnight with showers or
drizzle patch moving into Fiordland. Sea breezes ease this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 12-13

Coastal Otago

Some cloud with east to northeast breezes easing this evening.

Tonight’s Low: 12

Southland & Central Otago

Clear with some high cloud, southerlies ease this evening.

Tonight’s Low: 12
