Out of the main centres today it’s a bit of a lottery who will see the most cloud under this high that has dominated the weather over the last few days.
Auckland could see an easterly start to pick up a fraction later with a few cloudy areas.Tauranga might see some cloud with a small chance of a brief shower. The rest of the main centres could see some cloud initially otherwise a mostly sunny day is expected. Northerlies might lift a little about the Capital but at this stage it should be fairly innocuous.
The coolest centres overnight have been the southern cities with Christchurch and Dunedin both sharing 4 degrees this morning but afternoon sunshine should see the mercury rivalling their northern neighbours.Hamilton is also sharing that same temperature of 4 degrees but the thermometer should climb quite quickly this morning.
Tauranga and Auckland have 11 degrees as of 7am and Wellington is the warmest place in the nation with that northely breeze already picking up and 14 degrees.
Tomorrow appears to be a similar situation across the cities and even on Anzac Day not a lot of change is expected with the skies above. Auckland however could see cloudy spells on Wednesday with a brief shower but that remains just a chance at this stage.
The weekend was settled over the main centres but in some cases the clouds came and went however it never really looked threatening with April skies delivering drier conditions to the main cities overall compared to earlier months of the year.
