A northwesterly airflow lies over the North Island today while southwesterlies develop further south, southwest winds spread to the North Island overnight. A northwesterly airflow lies over most of New Zealand on Wednesday, a disturbance moves over the upper North Island in the afternoon.

Rain or showers for much of western New Zealand today, drier in the east although there may be a few showers for a time about the South Island’s east coast.

A northwesterly airflow lies over much of New Zealand on Wednesday, showers or rain in the west and drier conditions out east. A period of heavier showers and possible thunderstorms are possible for the upper North Island in the afternoon.
