InfoGraphic: The Big Picture for Saturday / Sunday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Fairly settled on Saturday but not totally sunny, a low pressure system to the west brings some rain to the South Islands West Coast. A low pressure system rotates onto the North Island on Sunday.

Cloudy areas and occasional sun for the western North Island on Saturday, sunnier in the east but expect some high cloud. The West Coast of the South Island sees some rain or showers, high cloud out east once again.

Some rain for the upper North Island may be heavy on Sunday, rain or showers for most other northern regions however looking drier south of Taranaki in the west. The South Island is more settled by comparison and fairly dry, just a risk of a shower or two in the east mainly north of about Banks Peninsula. Since these maps were drawn however the biggest risk for a shower appears to now be mainly about Marlborough.
