Cyclone Phailin has been and gone, leaving at least 12 million people displaced, while widespread flooding is now making the task of delivering aid to those in need even harder.
Rising water levels are blocking roads and causing landslides, making the transportation of food, medicine and other supplies an uphill battle.
Indian authorities were praised for their effective warning systems ahead of the cyclone, which enabled millions of people to escape the worst hit areas, but that same efficiency is now working against them.
