An anticyclone moves over the country today from the west bringing mainly sunny and settled conditions, there could be some morning cloud or even the odd early shower in places but they will more then likely clear.
Northland, Auckland
A few morning showers clear then becoming mostly sunny, light southerlies about Auckland. Southwesterlies for Northland ease dying out by evening.
Highs: 17-18
CNI, BOP & Waikato
Sunny with light winds, could be a frosty start about the CNI.
Highs: 13-17
Eastern North Island
Any early showers clear then becoming mostly sunny in the morning, southerly breezes ease dying out by evening.
Highs: 13-14
Western North Island
Becoming mostly sunny this morning, southeasterly breezes die out by evening.
Highs: 13-14
Wellington
Any early showers clear to sunny weather, cool southerlies ease dying out by evening.
Highs: 11-12
Nelson
Sunny with light winds, morning frosts inland and about sheltered valleys.
Highs: 13-14
Marlborough
Sunny with light southerlies dying out in the morning, a cold start.
Highs: 12-13
Canterbury
Sunny but temperatures a little cool, any coastal morning cloud clears. Light southwesterlies die out in the morning.
Highs: 9-11
West Coast
Sunny with light winds, a few clouds in the afternoon.
Highs: 14-16
Southland & Otago
Sunny with light winds, a frosty start especially inland. Westerly breezes build about Southland with a little high cloud later in the day.
Highs: 9-10

There are some radio stations that are stating snow for Christchurch on Monday but weather watch has no mention of this, what are your thoughts?
