Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny with south to southwesterly winds. Some morning cloud and a few showers about Northland clear away.
Highs: 17-22

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
A sunny day after a cold start (especially inland), light winds tend southwest in the afternoon.
Highs: 15-18

Eastern North Island

Showers about Gisborne for much of the day (especially coastal) then clearing overnight. A mix of sun and cloud elsewhere. Southwesterlies tend southerly around midday.
Highs: 15-18

Wellington

Any morning cloud clears then expect sunny weather, light southerlies tend northerly around midday.
High: 17

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny with light winds tending north to northeast in the afternoon, a cold start for inland areas.
Highs: 17-19

Canterbury

Any morning cloud clears then becoming sunny, northeasterly winds.
Highs: 16-19

West Coast

Mostly sunny, some cloud about the coastal fringe increases elsewhere in the evening. Light winds.

Southland & Otago
Sunny, morning cloud about Southland clears. West to northwesterly winds. Afternoon northeasterlies about coastal Otago.
