A ridge lies over most of New Zealand today bringing mainly settled weather.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny, light easterly quarter winds. Auckland and Northland sees some morning cloud with the risk of a shower then clearing to sunny areas, cloud builds again in the afternoon bringing the risk of further isolated showers before clearing in the evening.
Highs: 22-24

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Sunny with light winds, perhaps tending onshore in the afternoon near the coast.
Highs: 19-23

Eastern North Island
Mostly sunny after any morning cloud breaks away, Gisborne however sees morning showers then cloudy periods for the rest of the day, south to southeasterly winds.
Highs: 19-20

Wellington
Sunny weather with light winds, perhaps tending southerly.
High: 19

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny, light winds tend northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 19-22

Canterbury
Sunny, light winds tend easterly in the afternoon.
Highs: 19-21

West Coast
Sunny with light winds tending west to southwest in the afternoon.
Highs: 18-22

Southland & Otago
Some cloud for Southland, perhaps a shower or two also. Breezy westerly winds. Otago is mainly sunny with west to southwest winds.
Highs: 16-22
