Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Rain, possibly heavy with thunderstorms then easing later in the afternoon or evening. Northeasterly winds.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Rain with heavy falls possible, breezy Easterly winds.
Highs: 21-22

Eastern North Island

Rain, heavy at times with breezy Easterly winds.
Highs: 20-23

Wellington

Cloudy with drizzle from morning then rain after midday, Easterlies freshen.
High: 18

Marlborough & Nelson

Cloudy with the odd drizzle patch then evening rain (rain may be heavy). Southeasterly winds freshen.
High: 21-23

Canterbury

Mostly cloudy, some drizzle possible from afternoon. Freshening easterly winds.
High: 20

West Coast

Mainly sunny weather, some high cloud spreads down from the north later in the day. Some overnight rain possible about Buller. Light winds.
