Any early cloud clears otherwise sunny with southerly winds. Northland may see an early clearing shower in the east.

Morning cloud with the chance of a shower or two, sunny areas increase in the afternoon. Breezy southeasterly winds die out by evening.

Eastern North Island
Showers, clearing later in the day although a shower or two may not clear Gisborne till overnight. Gusty southerly winds, easing in the evening.

Wellington
A few morning showers clear, cloud breaks to sunny areas in the afternoon. Gusty southerlies ease later in the day.
