Eastern North Island
High cloud with a few spots of rain, moving through the Wairarapa in the morning then further north early afternoon before clearing away to some sun. Winds breezy from the northwest, although winds may rise to gale about the Wairarapa in the evening.
Morning rain clears then sunny areas develop, chance of a further shower late evening. Strong to gale northwesterly winds.

Marlborough & Nelson
Early showers clear then mainly sunny, chance of a further shower spreading from the west later in the evening. Strong northwesterly winds possibly gusting to gale at times in the afternoon.
Mostly sunny, chance of a spot of rain late afternoon / evening with rain heavy up in the high country around the same time as a front moves through. Northwesterly winds, strong to gale in the afternoon, especially inland.
Showers then rain in the afternoon with heavy falls and possible thunderstorms, gusty west to northwesterly winds.
