Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Sunny areas, cloud builds in the afternoon about the Waikato and Bay Of Plenty bringing the chance of a few isolated showers any of which clear later on. Winds mostly from the west or southwest, light winds for the Bay Of Plenty.
Highs: 25-26

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Any early showers clear, skies remaining fairly cloudy with southeasterly breezes. West of Manawatu sunny areas develop after morning cloud breaks away. There may also be an isolated shower about the Central North Island late afternoon / evening otherwise mainly dry.
Highs: 20-23

Eastern North Island

Early rain eases to the odd shower which continues for much of the day, rain (possibly heavy) may not ease about Gisborne till afternoon. Cool south to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 20-21

Wellington

Early showers clear, a mainly cloudy day with cool southerly winds.
High: 16

Marlborough & Nelson

Cloudy areas with breezy southeasterly winds. Nelson sees the sun a little more frequently during the day and winds may tend Northerly for a time in the afternoon there.
Highs: 17-20

Canterbury

Morning cloud breaks to a few sunny areas, southerly winds tend easterly in the afternoon.
High: 17

West Coast

A mostly sunny morning, cloud builds in the afternoon with a few isolated showers possible especially north of about Hokitika. Light winds tend northwesterly in the afternoon.
High: 20

Southland & Otago

A mainly sunny day with light winds. Cloud a little more frequent about the Otago coastline with east to northeast breezes.
Highs: 15-19
