A mainly settled day across New Zealand today as an anticyclone sits over the country, many regions expect areas of cloud for a time however. Winds are generally light.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty

Cloudy areas with light winds, cloud breaking to sunny spells more frequently during the day about the Bay Of Plenty.
Highs: 13-15

Western North Island (including Central North Island)

Mostly cloudy, west to southwest breezes about northern Taranaki and light winds elsewhere.
Highs: 11-14

Eastern North Island

A mostly sunny morning then cloud moves in during the afternoon with southerly breezes.
Highs: 14-15

Wellington

Cloudy areas and occasional sunny spells, northwesterlies tend southerly in the afternoon.
High: 14

Marlborough & Nelson

Areas of cloud and some sun, cloud clearing away in the evening. Light winds.
Highs: 14-15

Canterbury

Mostly sunny with some morning cloud clearing, light winds.

West Coast
