A southwesterly airflow continues over the country today which will finally ease away on Sunday, a fast moving front moves over the South Island this morning then onto the North Island this afternoon and evening.

Periods of cloud with occasional showers, especially in the west. Brisk southwesterly winds.

move through as northwesterlies change southwest.
Sunny at first, southerlies freshen around midday with increasing cloud.
