A northwesterly airflow increases over the South Island tonight, conditions are mostly settled though on the east coast. In the west showers move in overnight with rain towards dawn. A ridge over the North Island brings mainly settled conditions, the odd shower in the west of the North Island north of Auckland clears this evening.

Northland

Clear spells with the odd shower about western Northland easing away this evening, perhaps clearing. Westerly winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 7-9

Auckland

Any remaining showers clear this evening with southwesterlies easing,
expect periods of cloud overnight with light winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 9

Bay Of Plenty

Mainly clear skies, southwesterlies easing this evening.

Tonight’s Low: 7

Waikato & Central North Island

Mainly clear skies about the Central North Island, some cloud at times
about the Waikato. West to southwest winds ease this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 2-6

Eastern North Island

Clear skies with light winds, some high cloud possible towards dawn
tomorrow about the Wairarapa.

Tonight’s Lows: 4-5

Taranaki

Clear spells with southwesterlies easing this evening, winds tend westerly
overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 10

Western North Island

Mainly clear skies this evening, some cloud develops overnight. Light
northwesterlies.

Tonight’s Lows: 6-7

Wellington

Mainly clear skies this evening with northwesterly winds building, some
cloud develops overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 8-9

Nelson

Clear skies with southwesterlies easing this evening, some high cloud
overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 5-6

Marlborough

Clear skies, some high cloud towards dawn. Light winds may freshen from the
northwest overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 3

Canterbury

Mainly clear with some high cloud, light winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 0-1

West Coast

Cloudy with westerly winds, increasing overnight. The odd shower moves in
overnight then expect rain towards dawn.

Tonight’s Low: 7

Coastal Otago

Some high cloud, light winds tend northerly or northwest overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 6

Central Otago

High cloud with northwesterly winds, increasing overnight with rain
developing west of the Southern Lakes area.

Tonight’s Lows: 3-4

Southland

Cloudy with increasing northwesterlies, showers develop overnight. Winds
change southwest towards dawn.

Tonight’s Lows: 6-7
