A weak front passes from west to east over the South Island tonight, mainly this brings some patchy rain in the west which clears around midnight. Over the North Island a ridge of high pressure keeps conditions mainly settled.

Auckland & Northland

Some high cloud with light winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-11

Bay Of Plenty

Mainly clear skies with some high cloud about, light winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-10

Waikato & Central North Island

Mainly clear skies with some high cloud, light winds. There could be a fog
patch or two about overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 3-5

Eastern North Island

Mainly clear skies with some high cloud, light winds.

Tonight’s Lows: 6-8

Western North Island

Clear spells this evening however some cloud moves in overnight. Drizzle
possible overnight about Taranaki, especially in the north.

Tonight’s Lows: 8-11

Wellington

Periods of cloud with northerly winds, cloud thickens for a time later this
evening then breaks up towards dawn tomorrow.

Tonight’s Low: 13

Nelson

Mainly clear skies although period of cloud may move through later this
evening then clearing before dawn tomorrow. Light winds.

Tonight’s Low: 9

Marlborough

Clear skies with northwesterlies easing this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 5-6

Canterbury

Mainly clear skies, near the coast cloud breaks away this evening with
skies becoming clear there too. Overnight there could be some fog about. Light
winds inland with easterlies near the coast easing.

Tonight’s Low: 5

West Coast

Patchy rain with northeasterly winds, rain clears around midnight with
cloud possibly breaking by dawn.

Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Coastal Otago

Skies becoming mainly clear this evening with northeasterly winds easing.

Tonight’s Low: 7

Central Otago

Cloudy with some brief rain possible this evening, northerly winds. Skies
clearing up overnight as winds tend northwest.

Tonight’s Low: 6

Southland

Cloudy with some brief rain possible this evening, northeasterly winds.
Skies clearing up overnight as winds tend northwest.

Tonight’s Low: 8
