A weak front passes from west to east over the South Island tonight, mainly this brings some patchy rain in the west which clears around midnight. Over the North Island a ridge of high pressure keeps conditions mainly settled.

Clear spells this evening however some cloud moves in overnight. Drizzle
possible overnight about Taranaki, especially in the north.

Periods of cloud with northerly winds, cloud thickens for a time later this
evening then breaks up towards dawn tomorrow.
Mainly clear skies although period of cloud may move through later this
evening then clearing before dawn tomorrow. Light winds.

Clear skies with northwesterlies easing this evening.

Mainly clear skies, near the coast cloud breaks away this evening with
skies becoming clear there too. Overnight there could be some fog about. Light
