A ridge still mostly lies over the country tonight bringing settled conditions. A front lies across the far south however bringing some rain, and a depression to the northeast of the country offshore brings a southeasterly airflow to the Gisborne area with showers. Isolated showers about the Bay Of Plenty and Central North Island clear this evening too.

Northland
Clear spells with light winds tending southeasterly, a few isolated showers clearing this evening.

Auckland

Mainly clear skies with a few clouds about, light winds.
Tonight’s Low: 13

Bay Of Plenty

Mainly clear skies although a few isolated showers about eastern Bay Of
Plenty may move through into the west for a brief time this evening. Light
winds.
Tonight’s Low: 13

Waikato & Central North Island

Mainly clear skies about the Waikato with light winds, chance of overnight
fog. Clear spells and some cloud for the Central North Island, a few isolated
showers in the east clearing this evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 8-10

Eastern North Island

Periods of cloud with easterly breezes, cloud thicker about Gisborne
northwards with the odd shower and southerly winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 11-12

Western North Island

Mainly clear skies, light winds. About Taranaki westerly winds ease this
evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Wellington

Mainly clear skies with light northerlies, there may be some cloud move in
overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 12-13

Nelson

Clear skies, light northerlies ease this evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 12

Marlborough

Mainly clear skies, easterlies ease this evening.
Tonight’s Lows: 9

Canterbury

Clear spells, areas of low cloud or fog possible too. Light winds. Some
drizzle may move into South Canterbury by dawn.
Tonight’s Lows: 11-12

West Coast

Rain about Fiordland with the chance of a heavy fall or two then easing
later this evening, cloudy periods further north with the chance of a drizzle
patch.
Tonight’s Lows: 12-13

Coastal Otago

Cloudy or becoming cloudy this evening, light winds tend southeasterly. The
odd drizzle patches moves in later this evening, expect some rain about the
Catlins.
Tonight’s Low: 10

Southland & Central Otago

Rain about Southland spreading north this evening, rain eases a little as
it moves north. Southeasterly winds.
Tonight’s Low: 8
