A tropical low to the northeast of New Zealand and an anticyclone to the south push a southeasterly airflow over the country tonight. Espect cloudy skies in many eastern regions with patchy rain or drizzle for the east of the North Island. Clearer skies in the west.

Clear areas and some cloud with south to southeasterly winds easing
overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 13-16

Central North Island, Waikato
& Bay Of Plenty

Clear spells and some cloud, breezy southeasterly winds ease
overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 12-16

Eastern North Island

Cloudy with patchy rain or drizzle, mainly dry about the Wairarapa.
Southeasterly winds.
Tonight’s Lows: 13-14

Western North Island

Areas of cloud, clear spells now and then too. Taranaki will be mainly
clear overnight. Southeasterly winds.

Wellington

Cloudy areas with southerly breezes, a few clear breaks at times.
Tonight’s Low: 14

Nelson

Clear skies with northerly winds easing this evening, light winds
overnight.

Marlborough

Clear spells and some cloud, easterlies ease this evening.

Canterbury

Cloudy areas with east to northeast breezes, chance of a drizzle patch
overnight otherwise mainly dry.
