We were blown away by the almost 70 comments posted on our Santa Tracker on Christmas Eve.

Thousands of people tracked Santa and the weather that lay ahead for him on his journey to New Zealand last Wednesday.

Below we’ve taken some of the most entertaining comments, mostly sent in by children, to weatherwatch.co.nz.

We hope you enjoy reading them as much as we did!

Hi Santa please be careful when you come to new zealand because it is really wet here, you will need to land on the back lawn tonight because it is to slippery on the roof but please dont run over our new pool and watch out for the tramp.

 Hi Santa
We can’t wait – we are so excited. Tonight we saw one of your helpers who was giving out toys to kids.
We think you are great, travelling 1000s of miles in such bad weather to make little children like us happy.
God Bless You
Tom and Matt Wood

Hi Santa,
We are getting very excited about you coming tonight and we have got our Christmas lights on the deck so you can find our house easily. We have left you some carrots for the reindeer and some milk and delicious homemade gingerbread cookies for you.
We are going to bed now so we are asleep when you come.
Have a safe journey and give our love to all the children around the world.
Merry Christmas
The Glover Family
PS The carrots might be eaten, but blame it on our dog, “Tahoe”.

Dear Santa
I hope you get here soon, Mum says she’s left the window open as our chimney is too narrow for you to fit down! We have put out milk and cookies, and some apples for the Reindeer team.
Merry Christmas from your friend Jacob Walker
