Cold in the middle – Weather risks and the place to be on Thursday

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Thursday seems to be settling down nicely, with easing southwesterlies, clearing showers eastern parts, and breaking cloud as well.

Temperatures in inland parts of both islands will drop fairly low both morning and night, but perhaps not enough for a frost yet.
In saying that, if there is a frost at your place, please send us through a photo and information about where you are!

Wellington is looking the riskiest place at this point, with the chance of a shower or two, as well as some gusty southerlies – which will keep things fairly chilly!

The Place to be:

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
It’s looking mostly sunny in the upper half of the North Island, with a few clouds for some, and the chance of a shower or two about northern parts of Auckland northwards. Light winds only, and temperatures in the early 20s.
