AUCKLAND COLDER THAN QUEENSTOWN

Aucklanders have woken to the coldest morning so far of 2008.  It’s just 6 degrees downtown and currently only 3 degrees across many inland suburbs and our head weather analyst Philip Duncan says that’s warmer than a number of South Island towns.  “Queenstown, Gore, Wanaka, Invercargill, are all warmer than most Auckland suburbs this morning…infact Christchurch is over 3 times warmer – on 10 degrees”.
Duncan says warm northerlies should return this evening to the North with rain or showers and warmer winds for most of New Zealand tomorrow.
