Fireball Aotearoa is a collaboration between scientists at the Universities of Canterbury and Otago, and citizen scientists who operate meteor observation cameras across Aotearoa New Zealand. I just saw a shooting star? A meteor? I was watching tv, curtains open and saw a quick flash fly by. I knew it wasn’t a plane or helicopter because it was so fast, looked for a second, blinked and gone.

I saw that too. Southerly direction. Quite bright like a plane lasted only a second or two.

Have just seen a straight diagonal line of maybe 6 lights traveling across the sky over Ruatangata/Kara near Whangarei, from NNW towards south or SSE. Only saw it for a few seconds, as I dived off to tell family, when it vanished.

6 or 7 bright dots in a line moving right to left horizontally. About 45 degrees above the horizon. South west sky. 6.40pm, West Auckland.

Just seen a row of star looking lights in a straight line maybe around 15-25 of them roughly 30 min ago took a short video but not that clear can make out the line but blurry is there any where online that captures these? Didn’t look like drones, more like white glowing lights, but a blue glow when looking in a darker area. Cool to see. It turned invisible when reached a lighter sky east direction from Flatbush redoubt area NZ
