Upper North Island

Mostly sunny to start with light winds, some cloud during the afternoon with isolated showers developing. Isolated showers could be heavy for some with a risk of thunderstorms then clearing in the evening.

Lower North Island

Mostly sunny in the west with light winds, about northern Taranaki isolated showers may get going in the afternoon
with a chance of thunderstorms then clearing in the evening. Mostly cloudy along the east coast with southerlies in the morning then gradually tending easterly
or northeasterly in the evening, expect drizzle patches. Wellington sees sunny
spells with south to southeasterly breezes.

Upper South Island

Mostly sunny with light winds and afternoon sea breezes, there may
be areas of cloud morning and night.

Lower South Island

Mostly sunny with some high cloud increasing during the day, east to northeasterly
breezes along the east coast and northerlies in the west. Cloud thickens about
Fiordland in the evening with drizzle there overnight.
