Spring ups and downs – we track temperatures as they bounce around (+10 Maps)

> From the WeatherWatch archives

A colder southerly is spreading across many parts of NZ at the moment and will be most noticeable overnight with light frosts or near-frosts for some.

However a warmer trend is coming back in this weekend with Australian and sub-tropical connections.

Overnight lows will jump quite a bit this weekend…for example, Hastings in Hawke’s Bay has a low of +3 overnight Thursday/into Friday, but Sunday night it’s +14. Or Ashburton in Canterbury, down to +2C tomorrow night but +13 by Sunday nights.
