POLL RESULTS: Autumn gets a ‘pass mark’ from most

> From the WeatherWatch archives

Our latest poll results are back – and autumn seems to have come away with a pass mark under the old School Cert system – almost exactly half of our respondents rated the season as “perfect”.

Another 29% rated it as average, which seemed to reflect the view of many who have written in to the site in the last couple of weeks – neither great nor terrible.

The remaining 20 odd percent of people said it was either too wet or too dry – of course we had the continuing problems of drought in the far north – along with last month’s nationwide storm system, which swept across the country causing all sorts of headaches.

One commenter, Pedro, who was firmly in the “autumn was terrible” camp, wrote:

“Two out of three months have been dry and to finsh it off all it  was to send cold rain …..talk a bout rubbish…..it ok  to get cold weather if you get a good GROWING season not when you have had a half pie dry one”

Remember to stay checking the site this weekend for our new poll – which will be up Sunday morning at 10!
