The anticyclone which has dominated conditions around the country is slowly being pushed away from New Zealand, while a front follows closely on its heels, coming in from the Tasman Sea.
Saturday is still looking mostly calm and clear as the high clings on, meaning light winds and mostly clear skies – especially for the North Island.
