By Road…
It’s a great weekend to be out on the roads. Most roads should be dry right across the country today with just a few spits around Southland. Over Saturday and Sunday dry conditions should prevail everywhere except Southland and possibly Otago with just a few spits of rain/showers remaining. Heavy rain is possible around Fiordland later in the weekend.
Watch for strong winds in exposed parts of Wellington on Sunday – particularly the Rimutaka Ranges. People towing caravans should keep up to date with the latest weather at weatherwatch.co.nz

Not a bad weekend to be flying. Gusty winds are likely on Sunday from Wellington southwards but nothing extreme. Could be a few bumps over Canterbury as the nor’wester kicks into gear this weekend.
