Weather wise spring will seem early this year because August will be drier and sunnier than last year, it seems going that way here in West Auckland. Spring will also seem to come early as people react to the dry weather by starting barbecue’s and summer – like activities. But then again I could be wrong knowing the famous four seasons in a day Auckland is known for.

might just be me but I don’t see the list just the radio buttons.
My view on spring is that in my mind August seems to be the wettest month for winter but slightly warmer than previous two months. Maybe that’s why people think spring has come early every year lol

There is a lot of evidence around to suggest spring has indeed started, But! I cannot feel to positive about it just yet as I do not think winter has quite finished with us. It has the habit of coming back strongly before it allows spring to fully take over.
I am hopeful though as it would be great, spring being a good time of the year.
We had a light frost yesterday morning followed by a beaut day, not overly warm due to a fresh south westerly but certainly a very nice day. Whole day with no rain whatsoever in our neck of the woods.
I am also hoping we may get another good summer like last year but with this El Nino stuff settling in I suppose it will be “take it as it comes” type scenario. I see the summer forecast for the UK was well of the mark with them getting a very wet July.
Any ideas on what we could expect as yet??
