The weekend starts off wet for a number of regions, especially in the North Island.
But it’s certainly milder with the airflow coming out of the sub-tropics and towards Australia.
The north to north west flow will help boost daytime highs into the late teens and early 20s, especially on Sunday which is likely to be drier than Saturday.
Next week – another front moves up the country on Tuesday.
